What does the Remote Consult & Movement Screen entail?
It includes four elements:
- Movement Screen [see sample]: 20 total movements, 10 upper body, 10 lower body. You film yourself from multiple angles on each exercise. Your coach creates an analysis video (15-25 minutes in length) with commentary critiquing your movement and suggesting possible interventions. You will be sent a private YouTube link.
- Strength Ratio Assessment: You provide your coach with a series of strength metrics. Your numbers will be ran through a spreadsheet / calculator to see where your relative strengths and weaknesses lie relative to (1) your own strength metrics (aka. strength ratios) and (2) absolute numbers against the field of athletes you compete against (elite, teens, masters, etc.).
- Energy Systems Assessment: You provide your coach with metrics on common erg-based cyclical elements (e.g. 10:00 Assault Bike Test, Peak Wattage Test, 2k Row, Max Pace Row). Your numbers will be compared with our battery of data compiled working with athletes in the Sport of Fitness to determine (1) where you fall in the Powerful / Enduring spectrum and (2) where your absolute performance is on each respective erg relative to other athletes.
- Remote Consult: This is a 1-on-1 Video Call with your coach that lasts about 60 Minutes. You will have a detailed conversation about your movement quality, and you will have an opportunity to ask follow-up questions from the analysis video from your movement screen. Next, you will go over how to interpret the data from the Strength Ratio & Energy Systems Analyses. And lastly, you will have a conversation about possible training interventions moving forward that result in maximizing your potential as an athlete.
